Completely lost all faith in the police after an ordeal a few years back with this station. Very sad. I hope there has been some "cleaning up" since then.
Not all cops are bad but this 60th precinct profiling on minorities beats nyc...they need to put their racist cops in sanitation department these younger wana bee top cop with a badge and gun make up their own story to justify they are doing a job. I own a heating company, I pulled up on a block looking for an address then parked across the street. Im an indian guy working in a white neighborhood at night fixing someone heat. Some old geezer neighbor 4 house down sees me looking for the house number and parking and came scoping out my van when I went to work in a building opposite his house, he call the cops with some nonsense claiming he's scared and he describe me a islamic which I'm not. The cops surrounded my work van the next 10 minutes I walked outside and had me on the side of the street for 1hr while my customer has no heat with a kids in the house, within that time I refused to give them my id because they had no probable cause to harassed me at this point, they were going off what someone said of suspicious activity. Turns out they had no proof of any wrong doing and my customer was the witness that they just kept harassing me based on my race, with their sergeant, the cops says I cannot stop on the street in front a house for 2 minutes to look for an address people get scared if you look at their house and they wanted to give me a ticket for nypd stickers on my windscreen said cops are not allowed to have stickers and I cannot display nypd stickers on my windscreen...I guess they are weak cowards to be known as nypd officers off-duty...Most of these people who become cops really cannot do anything else with their life they just looking for a hand-out from the city...No need for me to do crime as they suspected, and for the cops reading this Im a reputable business man that make more $ than any you's nypd cops. Karma will get you wrong doers cops for violating people rights ! And As always God bless and protect the few good Men on the job, I strongly support the few good Men of honor in the NYPD I'm privileged to know and (not the evil ones i come across)
I filed a report in another precinct and my case was transferred to here because it is my local precinct. I had a generally positive experience here despite all the negative reviews and recent news regarding the two narcotics officers. I got a phone call from the detective the next day and I gave him all the information regarding my case. And he told me to hand in some paperwork to the precinct. The detective was helpful, patient, and really nice to me, and he reported my case to the police in Georgia, where the suspect may be hiding. I know there are corrupted cops out there in this city, but I'm certain that there are still good cops out there in 60th precinct.
On Sep 15th, an 18 yr old girl was raped by two 6 ft tall detectives driving in an unmarked Dodge minivan. First they cuffed her then violently raped her at a Chipotle parking lot by the 60th precinct. Get ready cause this just opened a can of worms for your departments. Now yo're all going to be under close surveillance by the Federal Watchdogs.
