The lady with the blond hair (I think is the owner) seems to be nice. The one who did my hair has short red hair, she's racist. My hair is not relaxed/permed, she was unfamiliar, uneducated & ignorant about AA hair. Tried to comb my hair wet from the root & used a cheap conditioner that provided no slip. Which is a big no no with natural hair. I had my own conditioner which she refused to use. She was upset when it was time to roller set & told me I shouldn't rollerset but instead blow dry wet. I had enough & had to give her a 101 on natural AA hair. I had to tell her I always get my hair rollerset you just have to be patient and use the right tools properly, everyone has different hair you as a hairstylist should know how to do other types of hair, not just Caucasian textured hair. By the way she knew I was natural before she started. Another stylist told her if you blow dry it first it will be too big & then you will have to flat iron (which is out of the question for me). She said she has a natural client. I will try her next time if I come back.
Wonderful workers!!!! Sophy and Gladys are top notch and all the other women are also great. They are very helpful and have high knowledge of hair. You should come you will have a wonderful experience just like I did.
I've been going to Sophie's from when she worked at another salon and stayed with her for her 1st and 2nd salon. That's almost 20 years. Last year I moved and tried to find a salon that was closer. I really miss her and her staff! I'm coming back because she's worth it!
