100% correct! The worst post office ever!!
I agree with Patrick. This is the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. There is never enough staff "working" to handle the amount of customers at any given time. The lines are long and the service is extremely poor. The workers can be very rude and unprofessional. If I could have my mail/packages delivered to any other post office I certainly would. It has also gotten worst with time. It was not even this bad a few years ago; I think that most people just put up with it. I wonder if our complaints would be taken seriously and the appropriate action done if this post office were located in a more affluent community.
I dislike giving poor ratings but this place definitely deserves it. I was in line to pick up a package after getting a slip in my home mailbox. The line was out of control - I was in line for an hour and then my package wasn't even there! The man behind the counter said my mailman must have it. That doesn't even make sense - why would he leave me a slip then? Needless to say the package was never located.
This is the absolute worst post office I have ever been to. Their staff is rude, stupid, condescending and lazy. They lost a package of mine containing items worth hundreds of dollars, and made no efforts to find it despite my returning there every day for the next week. Managers repeatedly stated they would call me to provide an update on the search, and took both my business and cell numbers time and again after each visit, yet I did not receive a single call. Unfortunately I live in the cesspool that is Flatbush, and cannot avoid dealing with this post office, but those with other options should avoid this branch at all costs.
This location needs more clerks and faster, more efficient clerks. They can't handle the numbers of people that come in. I've only been once so I can't tell if it's overworking or laziness, but something needs to be done here.
