This Church removed a 105 year old marker recognizing a tree that was planted by Westpoint graduate General Robert E. Lee while he was stationed at nearby Fort Hamilton Army Base. They removed the historical marker because they didn't want to offend anyone since General Lee fought for the Confederate States of America during the Civil War.
This is the best place in Bay RIdge. The people are friendly, the Episcopal Services are memorable. In addition to a Priest in Charge there are 5 Eucharistic Ministers so there is always someone available.
It is also the new home of Holy Cross Polish National Church, which holds services on Sunday evenings at 5:30.
