Great bread and a nice if small selection of gourmet food products (mostly Italian). The space is small so it can be difficult to navigate and see the goods if there are more than a few customers. The staff is generally friendly but there seems to be a lack of organization or clear roles which can lead to confusion and slows down service at times.
This bakery has fantastic fresh bread. So far the sweets have been great too...apricot tarts, almond croissants and apple pie were a real treat. The goat cheese with herbs was delicious. The regular drip coffee was even good, no complaints. Being new to the neighborhood, this is a great find.
Great lattes and pastries,croissants. Small selection Italian groceries,glutenfree pasta, eggs, cheeses,olive oils. Small bench outside and inside so not a place to linger,but the B26 bus is right outside. Bakery is attached to Saraghina restaurant around corner on Lewis ave.
An array of delicious and memorable baked goods to buy if you are on the go. I had a fennel sausage scone that I cannot stop thinking about. I would highly recommend coming into grab a small bite to eat or bread for a special occasion. Otherwise, it is a bit pricier for quick bites on a daily basis. Coffee is also just a serve yourself and not great.
The bread is amazing! Possibly the best in New York City. The filone when fresh melts in your mouth and is amazing with Nutella or marmite or cheese. The sunflour Micca is the most amazing European/German style sourdough I've ever had. It turns a cheese sandwich into a gourmet meal. The fresh home made spaghetti and tomato sauce is incredible. So simple but so perfect. The store is beautiful and has lots of delicious bits and bobs. The service can be a bit slow but it so worth it.
